Bitlocker Recovery

Overview

Windows devices managed by Eastern Michigan University's Division of Information Technology have BitLocker encryption applied to their bootable drive. On occasion, you may be prompted to provide a BitLocker Recovery Key to continue booting. This can be triggered by hardware changes, system updates, or other issues and is not necessarily indicative of a problem. You can retrieve this recovery key by logging into https://aka.ms/aadrecoverykey from another device or by contacting the I.T. Help Desk.
