Overview
EMU has licensed Microsoft Copilot, a generative artificial intelligence application, for use by faculty, staff, and students.
Additional Information
- The version of Copilot available as an add-on for Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) is NOT part of EMU's license.
Relevant Information
Microsoft Copilot is an artificial intelligence (AI) application that utilizes a conversational chat interface to answer questions, and generate content or images.
- From a browser, type "https://copilot.microsoft.com" into the address bar.
- Click the "Login" button.
- On the Sign in screen, type your EMU email address.
- When prompted, choose "Sign in with a work or school account".
- On the Password screen, type your EMU NetID password. If you are already logged into an EMU system on another tab or window, you may not be required to enter your password.
Chat sessions are NOT saved automatically. Users can save the contents of their conversation by copying/pasting the contents into a document on your computer or Google Drive.
Windows computer users can also hover over the "Export" icon at the end of the conversation and export the conversation as:
- On online Word document stored in OneDrive
- A PDF
- A .txt file
