Sign in to Office
Step 1: Open Microsoft Word
First, launch Microsoft Word on your device.
You can find Word in your list of applications if you’re using a computer or just tap the Word app icon on your phone or tablet. Once it’s open, you’ll see a screen with options like "New" or "Open."
Step 2: Locate the Sign-In Option
Look for the sign-in option, usually found in the top right corner.
In most versions of Word, there’s a button or link that says "Sign In." Clicking or tapping this will take you to the sign-in page. If you’re already using a Microsoft app, Word might prompt you to sign in automatically.
Step 3: Enter Your Eastern Michigan University Account Details
Input your full email address
Make sure you enter the correct email address, as this is how Microsoft Word recognizes you. After entering your email, click "Next" to proceed. If you don’t have an account, there’s usually an option to create one.
Step 4: Enter Your Password
After entering your email, type in your password.
If prompted, select School or Company account.
Step 5: Confirm Sign-In
Finish the sign-in process by confirming any additional prompts.
Sometimes, Word may ask for additional verification, especially if you’re signing in from a new device. This can include entering a code sent to your email or phone.
Once you’ve completed the sign-in process, you’ll have access to all of Word’s features. You can open, edit, and save documents to OneDrive, ensuring your work is backed up and accessible from any device.
